I took two weeks but also did it at night after work and took my time. Did one with a friend last summer and it took about four days again taking our time. I also measured and recorded all valve spring installed heights, verified the wipe pattern, measured/ordered pushrods, verified lifter preload with a dial indicator, etc. So to do it carefully it takes some time. I am getting ready for heads/cam again on mine, and I am planning three weeks with two of those weeks part time after work and one week off to work on it during the day. I also don't pre-order pushrods but rather only order after a measurement has been taken.

I am likely on the long side though

The biggest pain for me was breaking those power steering lines loose. Make sure to eat your wheaties.
