Default Quiet performance exhaust ?

Which, or is there a quieter exhaust that doesn't hurt performance much. I am running Z06 Ti now but they still make niose at 2500 rpm which I run at on the interstate with my 3.42's and A4. I am planning headers and I am afraid it will be louder.

I have Kooks with a CORSA Pacecar Tiger Shark system. At 2500 (83)mine are quiet with no drone. I have 3.42s also. We can listen to music and have a conversation with no problem, At WOT they will wake the dead, just like your Ti's.

If you are that sensitive to the noise, then headers are not in your future...

I have Dynatech SuperMaxx with B&B Rt 66 and superchargered. Very stealthy until you open it up. Just a bit more drone in 6th.

Do you have an x-pipe? If not that is where your noise is coming from -I have h/c;headers/highstall converter through corsa pace car exhaust- at cruise there is no noise in the cabin

I've got stock headers/cats, bassani x-pipe, and Ti's at the back, love the sound, but future plans (1-month) are installing LG Street headers long tube and hi-flow cats, just a lil more growl and a lil HP increase

Your gonna hear headers at times no matter what exhaust you run. I run Corsa Pace with Headers and it is quiet at cruise. I'm guessing the the TIs will be the same. Any application of throttle with headers and you will hear some rumble. As LUCKY says, if you're sensitive to noise, skip the headers.

I think the Corsa Touring or Corsa Pace exahust is about as quiet as you are gonna get in terms of drone. Like he said, if you dont want noise, I'd stay away from headers maybe.

The Ti's are a very efficient cat-back. I recently put a set back on my car. I'm going stealth for a while. My GHL Magnum Plus were way louder. If the Ti's are too loud for you now, I'd stay away from LT's. They will definitely make the Ti's sound better - I mean louder.

What you are hearing in effect is the result of the gears, the motor is just plain spinning faster. I agree, if the Ti's are too loud the headers will make it noticeably louder. Magnaflows have a lower tone, but if the motor is spinning up at 2,500 you are pretty much going to hear any exhaust to some degree. I have Ti's and 3.90's and don't find them objectionable at all, maybe a tad too quiet but I am not willing to give them up for that occasional wish that they were louder.

If you add headers any exhaust will be louder over 2500 rpms.

I just went from a corsa touring to a TI and I don't think you will find anything quieter than the TI. Except maybe the stock one??

I'd fear the Magnaflows - guy I met with new C6 put Magnaflow system on his car and the resonant drone was too much - he switched to Corsa.
Again, the xpipe is the key - don't leave home without it!! At cruise the Corsa systems are just right - even my wife likes them!!

I had the GHL's with 3" cans and it was great over stock until I added the Dynamax headers. Then I got 2 tickets the first month I had them on(both exhibition of speed tickets. Cops said they heard me coming...). Sold the GHL's on the forum and bought Corsa Tourings and couldn't be happier. Your TI's should be the same(or close). Headers will make your car louder on WOT. If that's not your intention, leave it stock.

too.

The Ti's flow better, back to stock and it will hurt your performance slightly.

Even though it will perform better with the headers, headers, any kind, will be louder, especially in the higher RPM's.

Have you thought about the "bypass mod"?
