Can you explain what the difference is? I have often wondered.
The C6 Z06 is hard mounted to the torque tube, and the C6 has rubber bushings where it mounts to the torque tube, same as C5. The C5 is actually a better shifter, it has bronze bushings in it's housing for the shaft to ride on, the C6 shifter shaft rides on seals only. The only difference between C5 and C6 is the angle and length of the lever.
That is the difference between Z06 and non Z06 (both C5 and C6), hard mounted (Z06) or rubber bushings (non Z06) to the torque tube. The bronze bushings that are missing in the C6 housing are internal, where the shift rod rides in the housing.
