c6 shifter
Is a stock C6 shifter better than the stock C5 or is it just the C6 ZO6 that is better?

Gene,
Can you explain what the difference is? I have often wondered.

I just bought a used C6 shifter from a forum member and installed it today. I drove the Z about 20 miles tonight and love it so far.

The C6 Z06 is hard mounted to the torque tube, and the C6 has rubber bushings where it mounts to the torque tube, same as C5. The C5 is actually a better shifter, it has bronze bushings in it's housing for the shaft to ride on, the C6 shifter shaft rides on seals only. The only difference between C5 and C6 is the angle and length of the lever.

Both C5 and C6 have bronze shift box bushings.
