Any body have pics of these after some miles? I am afraid of the headers discoloring after time.

Got my order in!

I'm assuming some discoloration. I can't see under there anyway - so am not concerned.

Compare what they take off - to what they put on - and you will be impressed at the difference.

I can't get a good picture of my headers since I don't have a rack at the house (god I wish I did!!). The only discoloration I have is from a bunch of thick heavy plastic wrap I accidentally drove over. The crap melted all over the headers and x-pipe. Other than that, the headers look as good as the day I bought them (about 2 years ago now).

I think you'll be very pleased with these headers. I really like mine.

I am not concerned with discoloration under the car. I am more concerned with the discoloration where they bolt to the head. I have had headers in the past that looked awful after a couple months.

Here are mine after about 30,000 miles. The primaries are about 30" long, so I would consider them mid-length headers. About 36" would be long tube.

Were they coated? Mine look NOTHING like that after 2 years. I don't have that many miles on them though.

The headers are coated steel, and the mid pipes are stainless. Stainless does turn brown when it ages. It's underneath the car where it's hidden anyway.

So, are these considered mid-length headers or long tubes? Do they have merge collectors on them?

Those are TPIS headers not Melrose. Similar design and the same ceramic coating but still different.

Both Melrose and TPIS are long tube headers not mid length headers. Saying they are mid lengths because they are only 30" long instead of 36" long is the same as saying anything over 400 cu in is a big block and everything below is a small block. You can't make a determiniation like that.

Not trying to interfer with vettes sale deal for you guys, just sticking up for a great pair of headers and cat system. It's worth every penny now and in the future if you start getting heavier into the mods.

I got Melrose headers with the hi-flow cats and X-pipe. Added a varram and 3.42 gears with tuning on my 02 coupe and have busted 12.5 in the 1/4. I'm sold on the melrose.

There is dyno run on Youtube, and Melrose has something on their web page. The Z06 made 26 horse, and 33 on the torque w/no other mods.
