if the inside of the intake manifold has fuel resin in it...
Long story short..... I took off the T.B and put my hand inside the manifold and it smelt like gas and it also had a thin film of oil ( no puddles ) in it....
The car isn't fully tuned yet, so that could be the problem????

I believe the LS1 has issues with oil getting sucked in the intake manifold, There is a fix around her somewhere for it and a detailed reason why.
Most cars are tuned a little rich from the factory, I have no reason to believe the C5 is any different. The oil in the intake can be remedied with a catch can.

LS1 has a dry intake manifold, / fuel injection, so even a factory pre-set 'rich' tune, should not contribute to fuel deposits in the intake manifold. Might be getting oil in the intake @ high RPMS even with PCV disconnected, as a result of sucking backwards through the hose from passenger side valve cover to intake.
