I don’t know how this happened but I was at auto zone buying a battery, I start driving home and I start noticing shifter getting really hard to shift, as soon as I get home it started smelling like burnt clutch, so I check my clutch reservoir is completely empty, so I fill it up and know my clutch pedal feels really spongy, I think I need to bleed the clutch. How do I go about bleeding the lines? Btw I have a 03 Z06. thanks, albert.

1. Bleed screw comes off the slave and exits the top of the torque tube all the way forward. Can feel it if your reach your hand up in there on the drivers side. Basically immediately behind bell housing at the eleven o'clock position. I believe it's impossible to get on it with a tool. Some say they can do it but they must be better men than me. This is why people put a remote bleeder on when they replace the clutch/slave.
2. I suggest you think about where the fluid went as opposed to bleeding the clutch. It didn't just evaporate..... Look for your leak. Good chance it's your slave. Could be master but that's too easy.... Maybe you were smelling the fluid burning as it hit the exhaust.......

"has anyone else notice that a lot of guys have trouble after leaving autozone?"
That's my problem? Stopped in for a can of Dot3 and now I have major clutch problems. Actually I noticed a harder pedal and decided to change the fluid, and now I have worse problems. It's either Autozone or my friend and his not so fast Mustang that's the cause of my problems.
