Default Have a weird problem...

Went out today and sprayed a 100 wet shot, after I let off, the clutch was stuck to the floor and I lost my brakes. The brake pedal would not even go down an inch, it was like pressing a concrete wall.

I have the nitrous for about three years, and it just started doing this.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

Have you checked the vacuum to brake booster.

The clutch fluid was pretty dirty, I just got some paper towels and soaked up the fluid and put new fluid in.

What do you mean "looked ok", did you test the vacuum with a gauge?

No, I looked to see if it was cracked. I guess I should just replace it, it's the piece that's on the brake booster that connects the hose that goes to the back of the intake, right?

Thats the brake booster check valve. Its just basically a one way valve. Its easy to test. Take it off and try to blow through it. It should only allow air to move one way. If you have good vacuum pressure from the intake and that valve is ok, then you need a new brake booster.

I just took it off and tested it. It will only allow air to flow in one direction, so I guess the check valve is ok. I guess I am looking to get a new brake booster, are those hard to install?

I suggest you break out your service manual and troubleshoot instead of just replacing parts. You really need to verify that the brake booster is bad, and not the vacuum source. The manual will take you through the check step by step.
