Default Textralia Post From Yesterday

Guys, I received 30 pm's requesting the post from yesterday concerning textralia and the alleged cost breakdown of their clutches and parts used. In hindsight, I should not have mentioned that I printed it out, and I should have reserved comment about getting raped on the cost. That being said, I am not going to be responsible for distributing that post to anyone. As a former mechanical design engineer, I can assure you that many parts I designed for major commercial truck manufactuers had a significant markup; however, the company I was working for felt comfortable with the pricing due to the fact that we offered a superior product compared to our competitors, provided our customers with a high level of customer service, on sight design consulting (at a moments notice), and had a very good rapport with them for years. I think these attributes are what we all desire as a consumer, and should be willing to pay more for those services, because we all know how it feels to save a few dollars(and in turn getting lousy customer service or an inferior product) and wishing we had spent more up front..having complete satisfaction.

There are a lot of happy bro's out there running a textralia clutch, and I have one on backorder myself...which I will use without reservation. Like I have stated my times before, I am always willing to pay more for a product that will perform, and is of high quality. The fact that soo many of my friends run this clutch, and soo many supporting tuners/vendors recommend this clutch make me feel very comfortable with my choice.

The pricing doesn't bother me too much, I just wanted to know in general how much it costs to build.
