Default O2 Problems HELP!!!

Here's my problem I have a 2000 C5 vert manual. Mods are Vararam
AR headers and GHL exhaust. Car ran fine for 3-4 months no issues. Burned the pigtail from the computer to the O2 sensor. Repaired the wires and had the following codes. P0135 P0155 P1133 P1153 Took the car to the shop had it dyno tuned had the front O2 sensors replaced and the rear O2 sensors deleted. I am now pulling up P1133 P1153
P1154 Codes. My tuner doesn't know what the problem is but also hasn't seen the car yet. Through all of this the car has run great other than the codes. Any suggestions? Scott

Default Ok

I had the same thing happen to my car after I put headers on make sure you have the right 02 sensor for your car and make sure they are plugged into the right connection you can get them crossed (don’t twist the wires when you put them on screw them in first before you plug them in) and make sure you use the hi heat copper anti-seize on the threads to seal the 02 if you don't they will almost weld themselves on to your header and be a bear to get out. Make sure you don't get any anti-seize on the end of the sensor, also make sure your wires are tucked up and not laying on your headers and then check for exhaust leaks on all your exhaust work you have an imbalance going on.
Hope that helps

also check the o2 heater fuse.
If its good and all other recommendations are covered you have a tune issue (maybe).
The o2's tend to run cool with headers. some brand headers have more issues that others.
I could not get the switching issue cured on my car until I tried a modified o2 sensor. I have no problems/codes since my mod to the o2's

I drilled 6 small holes in the sensor shield.
you need to use a drill stop so you don't damage the sensor.
some have opened the slots by prying with a screw driver. I don't know if that was successful.
If you try this post your results-please

And check for exhaust leaks. I got some funny codes at one point, due to an exhaust leak where the manifold and the cat section bolt together. Fixed the leak, cleared the PCM, and that was that.

From the service manual:

When DTCs P1133 and P1153 are set at the same time, it is a good indication that a fuel contamination condition is present.

An exhaust leak 6-12 inches away from the HO2S can cause a DTC to set.

Certain RTV silicone gasket materials give off vapors that can contaminate the HO2S. There is also a possibility of silicone contamination caused by silicone in the fuel. If the sensors appear to be contaminated by silicone and all the silicone sealant is a non silicone base, advise the customer to try a different fuel company. A missing fuel filler restrictor indicates the customer may have used leaded fuel.

Thanks for the help guys I'll pass this info to the tuner The o2 sensors are brand new and have the anti seize no twisted or burned wires No exhaust leaks that I can find. maybe the tune is causing the fuel contamination?? If anyone has any other thoughts I'm all
Thanks Again

I dont know if this will help however on my 01 c5 w/vararam dynatech long tubes bullet cats & borla stingers I was getting the same codes and when i started to chase the issues it started to migrate to different parts. ie rear 02 then front 02 then to the air check valve. I replaced the rear 02 on bank #2 it cleared all 02 issues except for the tattle tale rear 02 saying that the cats were not working properly my tuner was unsure as to the exact issue he did tune the car via net when the car was owned by another member now its mine and go figure he is my local gurue for tuning CHARLIE at RPM Although it has not been on his dino he has checked every thing and did tune it so it is emission legal for Kali. He will be doing H/C & intake on it later. It is still unclear as to why the rear 02 were flagging the cats after all this complete exahust system has less than 2k miles on item. Charlie was kind of thinking that because the flow was so good that the bullit cats were not heat soaking properly therefore not doing there job completely I dont know if any body has had this issue if so please let me know..

Just a quick followup My problems were being caused by the 02 fuse being shorted when the wires burned. It is fuse #15 in the fuse panel located next to the battery it is a 15 amp "mini fuse" I hope this helps someone else. I wish more people would post the solution so often we here the problem recommended fixes but no solutions. Thanks everyone for your help.
