Default Clutch Fuild MESS!

Well I having been having some wierd clutch issues (I think) possibly a throw out bearing going south, I am not sure. So I decided to change the clutch fluid as per a post / website I found from Ranger.

OMFG it was like SLUDGE. Prior to reading this I had no idea that anything like this needed to be done (first manual lol and I wasn't too into cars other than wanting a cool one, prior to getting the Vette)

I ended up having to run it through ~12 times before it became ...mostly clear. Stringy semi solid streams were still comming out of the hole at the bottom of the resevoir

I am guessing I'll need to drive it and do it a few more times

I can guerentee that in the 5 year life of the car this has never been done...(I've had it since 2005) it's a 2003 Z06.

Learning more every day

Well it is a night and day diffrence as of this morning. The car drives much smoother and the rather horrid noises have stopped for the most part.

I will do this again in a couple days and see what else flushes out

I finally broke down and followed Ranger's advice on fluid maintenance. Mine is starting to clean up pretty well now, even after 5 passes at the track yesterday. I made use of the old console that came out of my Wife's station wagon to hold my clutch flush kit...
