Default Another Oil Catch Can question

Ive done a search and now know more than I ever wanted to on catch cans...!!!...however I dont find an answer to my specific question....I have a Oil Catch can....inline with the PCV....but there is another hose that comes out of the valve cover and runs directly to just behind the throttle body....seems to me that unless that line also runs thru a catch can having the one attached to the PCV line really only cures half the problem......am I missing something....regarding that second hose...

thanks......

Yes, you are. The hose you're referring to allows filtered air into the crankcase. The air is flowing from the throttle body area to the engine. Do not route it to the catch can.

There should be 2 lines; one connected to the throttle body, and one in front of that connected to either the coupler or the air bridge. The line connected to the coupler is the fresh air intake for the crankcase. The catch can goes into the line that connects to teh TB.

I'm not sure how you have yours setup, but I'm not familiar with a line going to the air bridge or coupler. On a factory setup, the fresh air intake runs from the throttle body to the valve cover, and the PCV valve runs to the intake manifold on the passenger side.

Make no mistake about it, the fresh air line will backflow given enough crankcase pressure. You probably don't have to worry about it as much as FI guys though.
