I'm having some problems with my clutch not fully disengaging and I think an adjustable master might take care of the problem. Is there any one in particular you guys might recommend?
I run a Cartek adjustable master. They take a stocker and make it adjustable. No problems with it at all. I ran it with an LS7 clutch and now with a RAM DD.
I've read on here many times that you should not run an adjustable master with the tex.....
Do you think I should just replace mine with a new one? I have a 99... From what I understand it was updated in 01 or 02?
Also for adjustable ones.... Cartek and RAM both sell versions of modified stockers to make them adjustable. RAM charges $169 for theirs, and Cartek charges $330 something. What on earth does Cartek do to make theirs $170 more than the RAM?

I didn't pay anywhere near that for the Cartek. Does that include the core?

I dunno.. I called them today and thats what I was quoted... I can buy one brand new from a GM dealer for $189, much cheaper from Gene I'm sure, and I can buy a brand new one outright from TSP for $159, already modified by RAM.
So I dunno, but Cartek is definitely out. It's not the $339 because if someone said get the McLeod I would have ordered it already, but I'm not paying $170 more for something that isn't worth it.
I have a MCLeod and would not recomment them. They have had some problems where the line fitting is welded to the cylinder. It creates a bump on the inside of the cylinder that wears away the piston "cup". I had to remove mine and use a brake cylinder hone to remove the bump and replace the piston cup.
I think I'm gonna go with the Ram, I'm going to call them in the morning and make sure that the modified ones are made from the newer 01-02+ design and not an old one like what I have.
