Shift ranges
At the dragstrip if an automatic is set to shift at 6400 rpms how accurately will the car shift at this point? Shift is not manually controlled by driver. What is the error variance? Will it shift from 6300 to 6500 rpms? Or will it shift right on 6300 rpms? I guess the question is how much "slop" is built into the shift point?
