Default HID's installed!!

well... rather than overpay for the same thing from the site vendor, for the EXACT same ballasts and kit.. i went ahead and bought the ebay one for 140 dollars (wont post a link but its easy to find)

they cost me 140 dollars shipped, to my door in 2 days. they came with a 1.5 year warranty on the bulbs and ballasts. the guy selling them answered every single question and email that i sent him WITHIN 10 minutes!!!! extremely good customer service!

here is one HID on the drivers side, with a silverstar on the passenger side

Both in

one of the VERY BEST mods i have ever done, fastest shipping, best replies, and best service ive ever had on ebay.

no hassle exchanges, and 100 dollars cheaper than they are being sold by another "vendor"

i dunno about you guys, but i get sick and tired of paying corvette tax. the price gouging really needs to stop. customer service does not cost an extra 100 dollars on something that only costs 150 dollars to start with, it takes 10 minutes of a vendors time to answer the phone, and ship out a new set. thats 600 dollars an hour your paying for customer service!!!

they are all the same "brand" the guy i bought them from is actually the ORIGINAL person who was selling them to corvette forum members. the new guys selling them copied him and swooped in and appears as though tried to take the market into his own niche... the guy i bought them from actually has a link to a corvette forum thread from a LONG time ago when a member first upgraded.

his name on ebay is nissanGTRpower

what light combo did you go with? I was thinking 4300k for the fogs with my 6000k headlights

that's a good combination. I"m using 6000K in both just cause i like the color. 4300K would be better for fogs IN fog....but I use them primarily as auxillary driving lights.

I went with 6000K, and 6000K. I wanted my low beams and fog lamps to match color. Its the look I kinda like better than having diff color lights.

Very nice ! Looks great ! Im glad you like them too !

I have seen 4300K, and 8000K. I really like the 6000K though. They are so white with no yellow, and just the smallest hint of blue...... I like that.

If you already have the C5 factory fog lamps installed..... about an hour or less for installing both HID low beams, and fog HID's.

Longer if you have to go shopping for C5 fog lamps, harnesses, wiring diagrams, Lowes for brackets, screws etc...

It was VERY much worth it, and an enjoyable weekend messing with the car off and on.

what are radioflyer lights???

here is a pic with my HID's vrs my High beams. i need to adjust my drivers side down a little bit i notice now. So far i have only pissed off one already pissed off angry old old man in an old tiny dodge pickup that thought i had my brights on. i then turned my brights on and he realized how much higher the lights shine than the HID's and apologized

HID's: notice the "decent" cutoff on the stock housings. i can stare directly at them as long as im standing up, if i get on my knees they blind me.

stock high beams: notice how much further up on the wall they shine,

my car is slammed so for my headlights to **** anybody off they would need to be in a car lower than mine, which isnt possible. i think ill aim them down just a little bit more just in case.

I assume it's $140 for low beams only. Is it the same for fogs?

Thanks,
Randy

Yup! put my set on last week and Vs the chinese set that i bought about 3 years ago paid $300 ,my headlgihts wouldn't go all the way down unless you hit the hi-beans. these ones made in germany are awesome and alot easier to install and cleaner with no problems at all.. thanks to Silverbullet6spd for the info.

it is not the aiming so much but that you are putting hid lights in standard housing not made for hid lights. You are suppose to use projector lights to avoid the bleed off and hot spots.

The really do blind people quite painfully
