Diablo Predetor help...
.
I would like to learn how to work this thing, but I am worried about pluggin it in & making a mistake. I don't need to change anything just want to "Explore & Learn."
Where can I get easy (lots o pics) directions to learn to operate this & don't accidently change any parameters.
.
Or, am I making a big deal out of experimenting.
1 Guessing you have an A4; I wouldn't double-up with tranny changes via the Predator ... along with the Transgo shift kit.
2. Since you had a dyno tune; why are you then wanting to use the Predator? You'll only muff-up the dyno tune - unless - UNLESS the dyno tune was dine using your predator. But even then, you can make no further fuel table enhancements over what the dyno tune gave you.
3. Most people use a Predator or Hypertech instead of a dyno tune or shift kit.
what are you thinking you can accomplish with the Predator, over the other things you've already done ?
My Predator was the first model available for the C5... and I don't think it allows me to adjust the idle speed; though the newer models do.
Considering what you've already had done to your C5; do not... repeat do not load the Predator performance tune. It will over-write the dyno tune and your Transgo might not appreciate any help from the Predator.
On my early model Predator; it forced one to load the preformance tune into the PCM before it allowed you to do anything. I do believe the newer models allow you to skip that step.
Maybe someone will chime-in that has one of the newer models.

I have the newer Predator model. You can play with parameters without messing anything up. You can always go to the reset parameters section to return them to normal. Idle speed change should be very easy. Go to "Idle RPMs" and up the scale, press ok and done. As long as you dont go and start messing with spark advance and fuel parameters without knowledge you should be alright. You can have your dyno tune saved on the Predator and modify it if you want just make sure you always save your stock tune in case you ever need to go back to it.
Hey Mercury, I know why your avatar is a pic of you. With tech stuff people always trust a guy who looks like Doc from Back to the Future! j/k
(I'd put up my mug - but I don't want to crack everybody's monitor)

When it asks at first with what do you want to do, go to modify tune.
