I really know very little about this so any help in understanding this appreciated. If in tuning the trans the shift point is set at, lets say, 6500 rpms, how much of range does the trans actually shift in? Will it shift from 6400 rpms to 6600 rpms - abroader range or a narrower range such as 6450 rpm to 6550 rpms? I guess the question is how sensitive are the shift point parameters? I've been told to look at the tach when going down the strip but without a "heads up" display I am not anxious to look down while heading down the strip at WOT!!!!
You may have better luck in the C5 tuning section or a manufactures forms like HPTuners forums.
That said, I don't think RPMs come into play directly. If I remember correctly upshifts are based on MPH and Throttle position. I think the way to make it shift quicker is to look at some of the things the commputer is doing while shifting like Torque reduction and shift time parms. But, I'm no expert on the subject.
