Check this "pull key wait 10 seconds" out
The other day I started up the vette and the dreaded "pull key wait 10 seconds" comes on. I shut the car off, pull the key and wonder WTF now. So I started it again and it comes on again, once more I shut it off. I got out of the car kind of fed up and pissed off with everything.Then I noticed that the battery tender was still hooked up so I unplugged it, restarted it and so far NO PULL KEY. Maybe that (hopefully) was my problem.

Actually this message does not have to be related to column lock. Try cleaning your key resistor with alcohol. If this doesn't work try another key, keys do go bad sometimes. If another key doesn't work, you may have an ignition switch problem.

I have a CLB and still get the PKW10S every now and then.
