Stero Security
I just bought a 2001 convertible, and it had a side marker light out. Long story short, while I was replacing it and blowing a fuse I accidently pulled the fuse to the radio. Now the stereo is locked in some kind of security. Do I have to take it to the dealer or is there a way to bypass it myself?

that is not the default security code. it is a label for the plant to track what part number radio is installed in the i/p.
try setting the code to 0000 or 0001.
then you should disable the radio security feature unless you feel better with it.

Look in your manual. Sometimes they put the sticker that was on the radio into your owners manual. Just make sure you don't try too many times as the radio will lock you out for good and you may have to take it to a dealer. :smash:
