I had priced BF Goodrich g-force tires from the Tire Rack back in October. Then saw that they are one of our venders as of Nov 7. I haven't purchased yet, so I asked if a reduced price was available for Corvette Forum members and they said they give the lowest price to everyone. I thought forum venders would give the members some kind of break. I have used them before (GoodYear EMTs 3 sets for 3 98s) and have recieved what I though was a good price but as Forum Members I think we should get better pricing than non Forum members. Anyone else experiance this? Any comments? :mad
Tire Rack is pretty good. Occasionally others are better.
Sears discounts Michelins.
Think there is a place called treaddepot.com for Pirelli's and Goodyear.
And tell Tire Rack to read this thread and get their Head out of their butt. I've bought 8 tires from them in the last 12-16 months and they've lost their next sale later next week. Going to Pirelli 335/30's.
I've used Tire Rack for tires a couple times over the years and since they have the best prices I don't expect to find much additional discount. I don't mind a bit that everybody else gets the same great prices, do you?
One of the purposes of a forum is group purchases. This usually means forum members get better prices than non forum members and venders get volume sales. Its a win - win if all play the game. I'm not asking any vender to sell below cost, but I do think some kind of discount is appropriate. Even if it's only $1. I have been shopping around and tiresdirect.com had the same on-line price. :smash:
They don't offer price breaks but they do support and contribute money to the forum. All Troy and Co. are asking, is that if your going to order from the Tire Rack anyway, help the forum out by ordering from this link.
FYI,
America's Tire will match Tire Rack's pricing with after sale service
(balancing, flat repair,etc...) at zero cost.
No flame on Tire Rack, just the facts... :blueangel:

The Tire Rack customer service and delivery are both excellent. They will ship direct to your tire installer and maintain a list of installers in your area with a listing of their performance as rated by other Tire rack customers. It is important that your installer uses the latest equipment and techniques when removing or installing EMT tires so that the rims are not damaged. My installer changed myEMT's to Pilot Sports on Magnesium rims without a single scratch. Use all of the services provided by the Tire Rack and you will not be disapointed.
Save some money without losing performance and go with the Nitto 555 ZR's from http://WWW.Tires.com. You can upgrade the sizes and still have change left over.
Ordered my Pilots from http://www.tirerack.com Tire Rack customer service and delivery are great:) But the fact is, most major tire chains will match or beat Tire Racks price.
Wheel Works will match price and give you a credit for sales tax. You would not pay if purchased from Tire Rack.

Re: Tires from Tire Rack (NastyC5)
I've used Tire Rack for years for all my cars. I find the prices and service are very good. As far as mounting the tires, I have a friend who does it on the side at reasonable prices, with no scratches...
and Tire Rack will throw in their pesky customer service call after your online order is accepted to point out that the tires you chose don't match their car guide. For free!!! :U
Try http://www.discounttiredirect.com they will negotiate on tires to get a sale. If you find it cheaper somewhere else or the same price, call them and tell them what you want, and where you can buy it and they will go lower. When I first started buying Nitto Drag Radials from them they were $306 shipped to the door. Now they advertise them at $156, last time I needed tires I called them and told them how much I paid for them last time and he sold them for $308 shipped.
I just ordered tires from tirerack-- tried to use the CF link but it was trying to force me into tire sizes for stock vettes and I wanted bigger so I ended up going through http://www.tirerack.com. Maybe I'm just stupid though?

P.S. My new Pzero's look awesome and have unbelievable traction in the wet...haven't had much dry yet to test them with
As always, find yourself the best deal. If it's Tire Rack then you should consider ordering from the Corvetteforum Upgrade Garage. It helps to pay for this place.
btw... you can get to a wider selection of tires in the Upgrade Garage by clicking on 'See all tires for this vehicle'.
