How much power are you looking for? What are you wanting to do w/ the car?? Simple bolt-ons would be a good start though. I'd start with things such as longtubes, cam, intake (or zip tie mod), and a tune.

start small, like intake and exhaust. then go for the cam and tune. but its all about how much you wanna spend. do a search you'll get millions of these threads, all are very helpful

Horsepower in order of expense and the order folks seem to take:

1. Cold Air Intake - true CAI such as Callaway Honker, Vararam etc
2. Long tube headers with hi-flo cats and x-pipe
3. Tune
These things will give you a decent boost in hp
160 degree stat, aftermarket maf will not boost hp.
Aftermarket exhaust -little power gain but sounds good and most folks have em
4. Gears - no more hp but greater acceleration
5. Cam - good boost in hp but installationis not cheap
6 Aftermarket heads and cam - several k dollars but can produce big hp
7. Forced induction - Can bolt on and get big hp.
A true CAI such as the honker or the vararam combined with a tune will give noticeable SOPT power increase.

Have a goal in mind and work from there. You have to ask yourself what you plan on doing with the car.

The easiest way to increase hp is to open your wallet at the nearest corvettte tuner. They'll do the rest....

MONEY
Unfortunately yes, how much hp you can get = how much money you have to spend. Still, you want to get the most bang for the buck, so knowledge is the key unless you are flush, then just go to the tuner and tell him how much hp you want.

The easiest way is to pull out your visa, then when maxed out, get another one and repeat process..

That ratio is exponential

IMO it comes down to Money. How much do you have to spend? Then start taking to reputable builders, England Green aka Stephen has stepped up on this thread, and other forum venders.

Let them know what you have, what you want, and your budget. Then tell them what you want?

The two of you will come up with a plain that works for you the car owner and driver and the engine builder.

Eventfully there is a point when a create motor is less expensive then current motor upgrades.

Good Luck on your project and keep us updated.

I recommend buying mods in cash only. It is VERY easy to get yourself way in over your head when you mix mods with credit. I've done it before and now if I can't pay for it in cash, I just deal with less HP. Just my 2.
