Default H/C headers now idle problem

I just finished installing the TSP228R 114LSA, LS7 lifters, and 7.350 pushrods, LS2 oil pump/ timing chain, Z06 243 heads, Cometic .040 head gasket, LS6 intake, KOOKS headers, in my LS1 99 FRC Vette. First startup Engine idled at 650 fine for over 40 mins while leak checking everything, so I shut it down to finish up with the rest of the little things and started it up again and it will not idle. Is this normal until I get it tuned? I haven't taken it out on the road yet.

If you restarted the car while it was still warm, yes, that's very typical.
Although your cam is not that huge, it's still normal behavior (untuned). You will probably end up with a higher idle speed (~800) after the tune.

You can drive the car if you'd like, and you'll probably find it starts and idles fine after a cold start...but yes you may have to nurse it occasionally to keep it from stalling when coming to a stop, and yes it will not like to restart once warm and will want to stall.

The tune will take care of all of that, no worries.

Also, 7.350" pushrods are awfully short for your listed mods if the heads haven't been substantially milled.

Don't be surprised if your valvetrain is a bit noisy....

seems pretty quiet. I was told that the light weight sodium valves have longer stems and with the thinner head gasket I should use the shorter rods.

You let the car idle for 40 minutes?
