hey guys just need a few opinions from people who have been there. car 99 FRC with lg s.s lt's x-pipe no cats, ported tb, CAI and DTE stage 2 diff with 3.90's. i have "x" amnt of money saved up for a few car upgrades. originally i was going to get a cam, ported oil pump,u/d pulley,pushrods ect... and a set of et street radials. through searching the forum i am now afraid when i do the cam and et radials my clutch wont last but a few runs and then the car will be down for a while so now i think i will be better off spending a little less money for a ls6 intake, maf, clutch and dte brace and retune. i know i wont pick up as much at the track with just the intake /clutch/retune vs the cam but i believe in the long run I will be better off that way, so when i go to the track i can take full advantage of my setup. what do you guys think??? also what clutch could i go with i am thinking spec 2+/3+ i will be going H/C/I eventually so keep that in mind. what flywheel should i go with ive heard great things about spec3+ with spec steel billet flywheel setup and thats what iam leaning towards. i have heard good things about fidanza aluminum flywheel but in my evo i had aluminum fw and had to raise my rpm to get out of the hole. and i know my vette has more low end tq but i slip the clutch at the track and dont want to warp the alum flywheel. sorry for so many questions just need advice before i drop my money.
