This is a really STUPID question I know and completely reveals my ignorance at technical stuff but I'll risk the embarassment and ask anyway: When you change batteries, do you have to reprogram anything via the DIC or the key fobs that is lost when you disconnect power?

No such thing as a stupid question...
When I changed mine, the only thing I had to reprogram was the clock and radio. The DIC remembered all of the preferences, trip miles, etc.
Be careful when you remove the stock battery.. A lot of them leak acid from the positive terminal when loosened! Mine did.

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Simple installation and it really finishes off the battery area. Can't beat the price - free!!!

Great products and customer service are really appreciated- not to mention the peace of mind with the potentially PCM-frying leaky POS OEM Delco gone!
