New seats? Restoration?
Hey guys,
I'm seriously considering getting my seats redone, or replaced. I just don't care for the gray anymore. Can someone point me in the right direction for seat work?
Also.. what's the cost on new seats? I have electric on boths sides. I'd kinda like to change to black leather for the seats.
Thanks..

I changed my seats from Black to Torch Red. I bought the factory seat covers from Ken Fichtner and had a local upholstery shop do the swap. I don't know if you are looking for factory or custom though. If you want custom, check out Ken King's work.
Here is a pic of what I did:

I like the stock look myself. Some of the custom stuff is just too 'custom' if you know what I mean.
I'd like to know pricing on these if Ken is lurking out there.. or if you're able to post it.

Hop over to the very first section on the Forum - Ken's Newsletters. I think he has pricing on them. Look for Torch Red seat covers or something similar. I'm guessing whatever color you want to go to will be the same price.
I have a friend of the family (my Dad used to restore old Caddy's) that owns the upholstery shop that did the install. I took the seats out of the Corvette and took them to him. I helped with what I could and watched and he charged me around $80. I did the whole thing for a little under $1,000.
Thanks for the compliments!

The price of the factory seat covers has come down quite abit :yesnod: If you have the base seat w/out the pillow and you are not replacing the foam, you are looking at about $300 per side...It requires removing the seat but they are easy to install...
