I'm having an issue with my passenger window. I'm going to pull the door panel tomorrow but I was hoping to get some help and suggestions first. When I put the window down it seems like it goes slower than my driver side. When I put the window back up,there is rubbing on the door panel and it seems to lift the panel as it goes up. The window appears to seat correctly at the top. Any suggestions. I thought it might be tip in,but the correct seating at the top has me thinking otherwise.
Bump for you. I would suggest you take it to a auto glass shop and let them look at it. I suspect the window may have come loose in the track or something. Maybe they can tell you more. Good luck....
Pull the door panel. It's very easy to do (refer to this). Once you pull off the panel, it should be easy to see what's going on. The regulator/motor/window tracks are all one assembly. I had issues with my window going up and it turned out that the regulator's cables were frayed and were getting tangled up.
I just replaced my motor/regulator assembly last weekend, and the door won't close because the window is angled too far in toward the body. I plan to adjust the window's tilt by adjusting the regulator's bottom mounting points. The front/bottom mounting point has a slotted hole, and the rear/bottom mounting point has an adjustment screw. I hope that this will work, because my window has been out of commission for a while!
