Just got done replacing my window regulator because the window was stuck closed and wouldnt you know it the new regulator went up and wont go back down either (guess i replaced it for nothing). Any help would be great. Could something be broke in the switch down position only?

Did you check the other door window button to see if it works the window? If your up to it, you might try swapping the door control module from one door to the other just to see if that could be the problem.
how can i reverse them if they have a different connection. Its the drivers window so its the only button.
Yea, I believe they are the same modules. Check out this post for some additional information that may help. The photos are of the passenger side control module, see it they look the same as your driver's side. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1606865

Yeah its the drivers window. I already have your article saved in my favorites. (thanks for the write up) Could the down button be broken and not the up button?

Not the button, the relay in the control module in the door. Read the article on which relay does what. Search "window won't go down" or anything similar, you'll find a lot of posts with the fix. The previous posts are trying to get you to switch the modules, not the switches.

What I was trying to do was eliminate the module as a possible problem, since the regulator had already been replaced.
robsciam: When you hit the drivers window down button, do you hear a relay click in the door module? If you do, then the button is probably not the problem. Also, have you checked and cleaned the connector in the door jam boot? Inspect the connectors to the door module to see if any of the pin and sockets look bent or damaged. With the key on, press and hold the window down button and slam the door closed hard several times. That just about covers the most common solutions. If you still can't find the problem, you might have to bite the bullet and take her into the shop. Good luck......
i hear the clicking only when i push the button upwards, not in the down positon. I inspected all the wires and connections and they are all fine, actually they all look brand new as the car only has 14k miles on her. I also did the slamming and banging deal with no luck. I cant help but feel that something is wrong with the door switch, but i have no clue. I WANTED TO KNOW IF THE RELAY WAS BAD IN THE CONTROL MODULE WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE THAT THE WINDOW WOULD GO UP BUT NOT DOWN? Iam not comfortable soldering a new one on so i hope thats not the problem. Thanks everyone for all the help.
The relay can click and still be the problem. The click is the coil pulling the contacts together, the contacts themselves in the relay could be burned, corroded, loose. If you're up to it, you can still do as suggested and switch the driver/passenger side control modules to see if that's the problem.

Swapping the two door control modules would confirm the relay is or is not the problem and the only thing left would be the window button, OR the regulator you installed is defective.
