Default Royal Purple Syncromax

OK I have a 00 vert 6 sp with 74,000 miles and just bought 4 qts of the Royal Purple Syncromax. I have read all the post on the forum about the "problems" that people feel are associated with this fluid due to the paper blocker seals. My question - Has anyone with a 00, 99, 98, or 97 6 sp trans who has used the Royal Purple Syncromax in their trans experienced any leaks or trans failure after the change?

In theory I understand what has been said, but I would like to know first hand real world if anyone has had problems.

Thanks is advance for any responses.

I have never heard of anyone complain about paper blocker seals and royal purple syncromax ?????????????????????

you have a URL with the thread saying this?

i have read a bucketload of threads on this and have used royal purple syncromax and i fricken love it! makes the tranny shift like butter!

and......... redline shockproof 75-140 is used in the rear end and it lowers temps and works fantastic too

so who has failed paper blocker seals? or is just someone blowing smoke ie.....it might be bad , bla bla bla get a lot of that here

I have herd of the paper blocker problem, but I don't think there is any relation to the royal purple.

I did a search on the forum (royal purple) and found several responses where members had said that roypal purple sycromax was a problem with 2000 and eairler manual trans due to the paper blocker seals and that problem went away as in 2001 GM went to carbon blocker seals. Bur I have not seen any post where a member had a leak or failure due to this problem.

I have a 00 vert 6-speed also. Changed all the fluids to Royal Purple. The car does shift a lot easier but it also has picked up a bit of a whine that I've noticed at a steady higher RPM.
