so i dont have to raise the car to let the tire drop down ?
Just back up close to the edge and the oem mufflers should be able to tilt down and out from under the car. If you have an a4 you will have to loosen the anti-swaybar. Just unbolt the center bushings and let it hang down out of the way. If it's an M6 you can just unbolt the mufflers and roll them out.
Chock your wheels before doing anything.

Hmmm... I had not heard that the anti-swaybar didn't have to be unbolted on an M6 catback install. The link in vette747's sight shows the swaybar being unbolted on a Z06 to remove the stock catback.
I didn't have to remove mine either time I've done a swap.
Either way, it's just a couple of bolts so if you have concerns go ahead and remove it.
I assume you have a 6-speed Villian? Was your car on a lift?
I'm actually encouraged that I don't have to remove the sway bar. I would like to get the stock off without cutting if possible, but I really don't want to attempt lifting the rear 3+ feet in the air without a lift.

Yep. I had access to a lift. My jack stands weren't large enough and I didn't feel comfortable with putting blocks underneath the stands and on the jack to get it high enough. BTW, it is a six speed.
