The first time I changed mine it lasted a week. Don't get a GM or Delco sensor. I got a borg warner sensor, from NAPA I think. Make sure you set the torque correctly, some think that over torquing even a little causes them to fail. The borg warner is on a second engine LOL...

It takes a few adaptors and a section of braided line. This lets you change sending unit from drivers side of engine by engine coils. Saves from having to pull intake when these alum. sending units go bad (which they do frequently). The remote let's you use a brass Buick sending unit.

I under torqued mine a couple pounds, and that was a year and a half ago.
