Targa Top question
I have a blue tint targa top that the sun has ruined. I know several have painted them black but has anyone sanded and cleared? I really don't want to make it opaque and am hoping it will clear but I don't want to take the sandpaper to it unless I'm sure.

Lexan is a hard surface to "buff out" I bet it could be done, but for the money ($300-$600) you can get a niced used top, here or on fleabay.

Theres no buffing this out. The top layer is crazed and I can flake it off in places with my fingernail. I have experience with painting and have no issue doing it myself but never have tackled Lexan.

I sanded & cleared mine over 1.5 years ago. Very few people could ever tell the difference. I did all the prep work & my painter cleared it, then I sanded & buffed it. Spent all of $50. Well worth it in my book.
