Guys what would cause my A/C to only blow-out the vent under the windshield?? I just recently r&r my intake to change the knock sensors. Is there a vaccum line that may have got knocked off? It does matter which position my dial is in for the a/c, it's only blowing out the one vent....
Yes he does , you should see him at swap meets and car shows - it is scary to tag along with him. When most guys are taking pictures of the cars exteriors and the pretty girls, he is taking pics of the inner workings of all the various systems. The external hard drive for our computer is overloaded.
yes but a lot of times the rubber 90 boot is still on the intake and the hard plastic line has slipped out of the bottom of it. Makes it much harder to fix while on car.
Thought I would throw this out there, my 2000 FRC had the same problem. It had the battery leak issue at one time fixed under warr. the problem was it ate up the plastic vacumn line to the HAVC control. Might be the problem, only applies if there before intake R-R.
The tube has slipped out of the elbow, elbow is still attached to the manifold. Any suggestion on connecting it back up, not much room to work with if it all... My hands have a struggle just to touch the elbow with my finger tips.... I really don't want to remove the manifofld.... Anybody have any tricks???

Way back when I had my 98,,,the same thing happened. I used a mirror and a LONG set of hemostat tongs to grab the tube and direct it into the 90 deg boot. It worked fine but it sure was a PITA. Removing the intake is a LOT simpler and a LOT less time consuming and aggravating.
I removed the intake and put the tube back in the 90 degree elbow, put it all back together and it's still not blowing other than the defroster vent under the windshield, it's also now putting out warm air, not cold air.. I did recheck to make sure the tube was still attached to the elbow and the elbow to the intake.. it all checks fine, no more hissing sound either...
what else would be playing into this??
I tested the unit and when I change the manual dial over to the vent's not the deforster it still automatically changes to recirulate from outside air in.. So that tells me the Manual in dash unit is still functioning to a degree...
Any thought's.... I am in Houston and it's been aweful driving to and from work in this heat lately.. It's been in the mid 90's... It's 115 in the car... I need relief soon...
Auto climate or manual? Have you tried pulling fuse 27 in the pass floorboard to reset the control head? If not, pull the fuse for 60 seconds and retry the A/C/

I can't imagine, my A/C just clogged up the drain and was dripping on the inside by the fuse panel. I called up my dad to borrow his lift for just 5 minutes, had to get that sucker working, way to hot not to have A/C.
