Is there any issues putting 2001 wheels onto a 1998 car? I don't think so, but ask before you leap is best.

no problem as long as you don't swap out the sensors
2001 sensors are not compatible with your 98

They'll fit just fine. My car is a 99 but it had the painted wheels from the factory like your 98 has. You will need to use your 98 air pressure sensors though. I bought the 00-02 GM hi-polished wheels and my sensors bolted right in. You will have to buy some new lug nuts too.
