Default Wiring question for gill lights

I am installing the led lights in my gills and am trying to locat the DRL wires to splice in to. Anyone have an idea where I might find them under the hood without getting under the car?

I searched too but they are pretty well wrapped up and hidden once they enter the harnesses. You could run em into the Passenger footwell fuse box...

There was a post showing the DRL relays and how to bypass em if you decide to bring em in there, do a search for it.

I used the parking lights though not the DRLs...

I gave up and ran them to the parking lights. If you do it right, they will work with the turn signals too!

The best tap is down under the headlights

I had to install side repeaters for UK. I needed to have them flash with the T/S lights. You can see them in my sig pic below

Depends what you want. Do you want them on with the DRLs, on with parking lights or to flash with the turn signals. They're all different circuits but any one of those is possible.

Heres what one Brit member did

There are 2 bulbs in the stock turn signal bulb holder - a small bulb in the outer orange part and a large twin filament orange bulb in the front compartment. The large orange one is the combined parking light/turn signal and also gives DRLs.
There are 3 wires running to this larger bulbholder
a blue/white wire which is the hot wire for the T/S.
a brown wire which is the live feed for the parking light.
a black wire which is the common ground.

The wires going to the front sidemarker lamp are also brown (hot) and black (ground)

To get lights which come on with DRLs and with parking lights you can tap into the brown wire plus the ground.

To get lights which come on just with parking lights tap into the wires going into the small bulb in the sidemarker lamp in the outer section

I used the in-line electrical taps you can get at any auto parts store which avoids cutting wires.

To get access to the wiring, turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights. Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it.

Once you’re done, clean the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.

As a safety measure and to avoid the lights closing while youre doing the mod, disconnect the battery once the lights are up.
