Has anyone tried these? I picked up a set for my car, but I'm curious if people have seen any noticable difference from platinum to these.
Thanks,
Dave

Depends on your defintion of "noticeable". You may notice a smoother idle, but doubt if you will notice a "seat of your pants" difference in performance. Also, keep in mind that the improvement with the new plugs probably has alot to do with proper gaping of the tip on the new plugs compared to the wild gap differences in the stock plugs from what I have heard on the forum. I'm anxious to get mine changed to take a look at the factory plugs.
Well, I'm half way through the install, and all I can say is that C5 mechanics are worth their weight in gold. Plug 7 is the biggest pain. At least I'm 1/2 way there and from what I've read, the passenger side is a lot easier.
BTW, I'm not lookin for a 15 hp gain by adding in plugs. I plan on doing it like the ricers do. I'm gonna go buy me a v-tec sticker, that'll add at least 10-12 hp. :yesnod:
Actually, I was wondering more if people were happy with them or not. I wasn't sure how long they've been on the market, so I'm somewhat concerned that they won't last very long. Time will tell. :D
I presently have the Beru Silverstones in mine. They work great, however, recently I have noticed some back-firing between 1600 and 1800 RPM. Possible lose or bad wire? Bad plug?
Like the Platinum plugs, I wouldn't reccomend them if you are using nitrous, as you could get misfires. Otherwise I'm sure they are better than the stockers.
