Default HELP!!! Intake Removal problems!

I am in the process of doing a head/cam swap and i have the intake manifold unbolted and all of the hoses and elecrical connectors undone except..... at the back of the manifold on the MAP sensor there was the weather pack elec. connector and the rubber hose. Got those off but was still having trouble getting the intake to slide out. Then i see this 1 smnall black wire connected underneath the MAP electrical connector. It looks like it is hard lined into the MAP. I have no idea how to get this undone and it says nothing about it on LS1 how to's site. Does anyone know how to get this undone.

What year? I don't remember anything like that. Do you lift the intake when trying to move it forward? Brake booster hose holding things up?

The back two bolts are probably holding you up. Get them up, they may be catching on the ports in the heads. Just a thought....

Whoa partner.... I believe the "small black wire" you are referring to is the vacuum line. It will keep the intake from moving forward until you snap it. Use caution.

That's the vacuum control for the AC/Heat duct control. Pry that off at the connector, don't pull the thin hose, hold up the rear bolts, I use a touch of masking tape, and it should slide forward.
