Anyone have there tire pressure sensors become oxidized so you can not remove the valve cap? Just bought a 99 Vette and needs a little TLC - this is one of the things I need to address. I was going to get some pliers and really try to torque them off but was told they can break. Do I need to just buy new ones and have them installed?
Have a lot more questions but will only ask 1 every couple of days - thanks guys.
Tire pressure sensors are expensive, so I would be careful using pliers to remove the valve cap. Try some penetrating oil + time. I'd recommend PB blaster, but if you can't find that, used wd-40.
I have a 97, so I may be able to answer some of your TLC related questions. Feel free to PM me or post them in this thread. The FAQ/sticky at the top of this forum also has a lot of useful information.
