I've spent dozens of hours researching the various aftermarket exhausts online, listening to sound and a/v files, and listening to as many different exhausts in person as I could to try and make a decision myself.

I've come very close to purchasing a few different exhausts only to find out something about it that was a deal breaker for me. For example, the Borla Stingers that someone recommended to you will drone so bad you just might want to shoot yourself if your Vette is your daily driver, or even if you like to take the occasional 50+ mile road trip. They sound fantastic around town, but on the highway when you don't want to hear them, they drone like the devil from about 60-80 mph by all accounts (~1500-2200 RPM range).

Just be careful and do your research. Most of the high performance exhausts will drone it seems, but you should be ok if you go with a Touring exhaust. That may not be meaty enough for you though depending on what you're looking for. It's all about preference. I provided some information in another post you should probably look at if you haven't read it already. Just my observations from the research I've done...

Good luck!
I think the most popular are the Borla Stingers. That is what I have with an X-pipe as I do not like the popping you get with the H-pipe. Take a look at either www.mamotorworks.com or their catalog they rate exhaust systems for Idle, Acceleration and Cruse If the car is a daily driver or you take trips pay attention to the sound at Cruse. A rating of 2 can really get inside your head and a 3 will drive a normal person nuts! you can get around this by installing a lot of sound deadening material.

Hey Dale,
Here's a thought. You might want to try this...It worked for me. I also wanted a beefier sound and was all set to go with the Corsa Indy exhaust. But after thinking about it here's what I ended up doing and am glad I did.
Instead of going with the Corsa's, for a few hundred more, I had LG street headers installed, a dyno tune and kept the stock exhaust. It did give it a beefier sound and with the tune it picked up about 40 hp to the wheels!!
If you put a set of headers on its gonna change the sound and you just might like it with the stock exhausts in place, and you'll definitely love the added hp and tq. If you decide its not loud enough for you you can always install the Corsa's later.
I'm saving my $$ now and will probably go with a set of Corsa Touring down the road, since I don't want it obnoxiously loud.
In short I'm happy with the sound and extrememly happy with the added H.P. and TQ.
