Kind of a stupid question, but does the tire pressure sensor nut have to go on before the tire is mounted or after? I assumed it had to go on before, but I'm having new chrome wheels mounted tomorrow and I need to know for sure because I don't have the chrome TPS mounting nut that I want to go with them and the stock ones would look like crap with chrome wheels (have Mags currently). If it can go on after they're mounted then I'll go forward with the installation, but if not then I'm going to have to postpone it until I can get a set, which would really be a bummer.
It COULD go on after as long as you make sure you hang onto the stem and don't loose it inside the wheel. You'll loose most of your tire presure doing it but no bigee if you have an inflator. Also get some new #9 O-rings if you have 97-00 sensors.............

Called CCW and they said they had to be put on before. They're doing the work so whether they were right or wrong they're calling the shots. I do have 00 Sensors, what are the O-rings and will the place have them or do I have to get them somewhere else?
O-rings in plumbing dept. at Lowes, Home Depot etc..........
Thanks, I just tell them I need #9 o-rings and they'll know what i'm talking about? Not much in the way of a plumber myself so I'm a little clueless (though I do understand what o-rings do lol).
