Obvioisly I think that lowered (and Stock) cars should sport the Frame Savers and Rocker Rails but you know what else really helps? Take a razor knife and after marking a nice straight line accross the bottom, trim about an inch off the air dam . Do all 3 pieces. The center piece is tougher but you can do it. It makes a world of difference! If the line is a little crooked , just sand it smooth with some 36 grit sand paper.

I'm at 26" even in the front and 26.75" in the rear.
I have Bilstein Sports and 265x35x18 tires in front and 295x35x18 rear.
I have trimmed the jounce bumpers on the front shocks 1/2".
I also trimmed 1.5 inches off the front air dam.

And I love it this way :D

Come on guys, I've got the second highest car in this thread even after lowering it! I'm going to try to lower it a little more on the stock bolts this week. Anyone in the SJ / SF Bay Area willing to give me a hand if I can't get it just right? I don't know how to cut the bushings.

Help is much appreciated!

I lowered mine to the maximum adjustment. No cutting of the bushing allowed in SCCA super stock.

Front - 26.8
Rear - 28.0

2002 Z51.

25 3/4 IN BACK
25 5/8 IN FRONT.

BACK IS BOUNCY BECAUSE OF LITTLE SUSPESION TRAVEL. I AM TRYING TO FIND A SHORTER SHOCK, I HAVE ALREADY CUT OFF 50% OF THE BUSHING, SHOCK IS A BILSTEIN SPORT.

Andy @ A&A gave me 2 good tips on how to get back 1.5" of travel from your Z51 Shock!

Flip rear mounting brackets upside down & mount that way. Looks funny but works. Gets you back .5" travel.

Take the shock mount hole & drill it out oblong higher up the shock about .5". Weld 2x 5/8" spacers .5" higher. Gets you back another .5"

Cut bump stops .5"

Lowered 1.5" and increased shock travel 1.5" !

My goal is 26.5" Front & 27.25" Rear after my new wheels/tires go on.

Anyone want to shoot any holes in any of this?
I'll do the bump stops & brackets for sure.
