I just added the Magnaflow X-pipe to my system, which has the A & A Mod. It really smooths out the idle and almost completely eliminates the burble. Also, no popping on deceleration.
I also have a set of 2002 Zo6 Ti mufflers which I am working on making the A & A mod to. I just got in two pieces of 1 1/2" titanium tubing to have welded in. Figuring out the correct angles to cut them is turning into a real bear, but I am getting there. Life is more fun when you have a personal Corvette project going on.
You might want to try getting some same diameter plastic tubing to experiment on and custom fitting onto the exhaust to get a couple of "templates" to pattern your titanium pipes to. That way, if you goof, just grab another piece of plastic and try again.
Another option is to tightly wrap thin poster board around the pipe and glue or tape it to form a cardboard tube. You trim it to fit the desired location, then slip it back over the pipe and mark the cut edge with a marker.
Be forewarned that you cannot just weld Ti like a piece of steel, otherwise good luck.
