where is the cheapest place to get a OEM ls1 clutch kit or should i just get an LS6 clutch kit? they quoted me $545 for a LS1 clutch kit
I just got done doing a clutch in mine. I got the clutch from Summit, center force 12 inch for 365, and I got a F1 Billet lightened flywheel off the auction site for 165ish.
I would replace the slave/throwout bearing, master cylinder and pilot bearing as well.
they just had the car apart and are telling me the bushings have to be replaced plus the internal parts for the torque tube/ they are quoting me now like $2300. is that normal?
i just ordered 2 aluminium bushings because i couldnt find the oem ones. they were telling me that they dont recommend using both but the shop said it should be fine. what do u think
well finally got the car back, got a new cluth kit, aluminium torque tube bushings, i dont know if im paranode or what but when the car idles i can hear some kinda noise where the shifter is so im guessing by the clutch, when i push in the clutch the noise seems to go away. it only happens when the clutch isnt pushed in. Its not a loud or bad noise. what can it be?
