Default HIGH FLOW CATS

Any input would be helpful....

Im thinking about installing some high flow cats, does this mod make much of a difference? I was also curius if itchanged the sound of te car much? I hve jba headers, magnaflow exhaust system w/X pipe, would like to get a little more of an agressive sound. Im also debating takingthe cats off all together, but have heard several peoplecomplain of the smell, just curis since I have a convertible if the smell would be real bad.....Thanks guys!

I just put on TTS headers and we removed the front " pups ", but left the main cats on. I am like you, didn't want any smell.

I also have the Magnaflow exhaust with their X-pipe. Putting headers on seemed to make exhaust a little more thoatier, or louder. but not really aggressive. I have heard high flow cats don't really give much more performance for the money, but will make exhaust a little louder.
Just my .02 worth.

At least on my setup the cat-free exhaust sound was simply to raucous for day to day driving in the "real world." My cam/head package is also optimized for high rpm power, and low rpm "feel" was a bit hollow without the cats. I chose 2.5" C&L high flows (thanks to Mellow Yellow) and ended up with a great, growly exhaust note and NO sensation of a low end hole.

Give it a shot: Random's, C&L's etc. should all work fine (see prior threads on this forum).

TTS headers + Corsa Indy's + C&L cats + Bassini X-over = It's all good!

Where did you get the C&L high flow cats? Do you have a website I could go to?

Thanks!
