Default header question

I have an 01 c5 w/ a new ls2 402 in it.
Will ls2 05- n up headers fit in the c5's hood, or will 01-04 headers fit on an ls2 in a c5's hood.
thanks. trying to see what options i have.

Default thats a very good question

i would think u would use the c5 headers with no emissions tubes. since the heads are basiclly cnc'ed ls6 heads i would not think there would be any changes in bolt pattern. and the c5 headers are formed to fit the channel that runs inunder the car. if u dont get an answer on here call tsp or another sponcer that has completed this swap.

thanks thats good new for me seing as how the headers are cheaper for an 01-04.
would 1 3/4" be good for a 402 or do i need 1 7/8" is there really that much of a diff?

this is strickly what ive read and talked to tsp about i have not done this. but everyone agrees that 1 3/4 are great for stock cubes but fall short with a cam and more cubes. so if u are going to boost it or blow nitrous through it id go 1 7/8. if ur not, i dont think u would see enough gain in hp to justify the cost difference

He's got a LS2 402ci. That's going to be strictly 1 7/8's territory. Even stock LS2's should go 1 7/8's. Only stock cube LS1/LS6 should stay 1 3/4.

But you should definately go with a C5 header system. Not because of any difference on the heads (there isn't), but because all the bends are such to fit a C5. The C6 has different bends.

so there u go i was right. anything over stock cubes gets 1 7/8 period. and i was even right about the heads bein the same and all u needed to worry about is the contour. im glad that i was corrected. lol
