Default knock sensor help?

I recently put an LS2 block in my 2001 Zo6. Instead of drilling and tapping the block to use my old knock sensors, I bought the casper harness with a two wire and one ground per sensor setup and some factory LS2 knock sensors. Already figured out that casper has the cam sensor wires reversed, but I cannot get these knock sensors to read correctly. Pretty sure they are causing my timing to retard at w.o.t. Anybody know how to test the sensors?

Pretty tough to test them--But--you can see if you are getting any knock retard by using a data logger or scanner--If you are getting some knock retard--them I would say they are working---However the 2 different types of sensors you have--- both have different values in the knock retard tables--The Z06 KR tables are different than the LS2 tables because they are using different sensors--You can reprogram the ECM to be more sensitive or less sensitive--The only drawback is that the only way to tell which way to go is with your own ears wether or not the engine is pinging--
Some years for example have overly sensitive KR tables--My '98 continually was showing 4-5 degress of retard with only 20 degress total dialed in ---couldn't hear any audible pinging--So i de-sensitized them a bit and it all went away--Only once in awhile I'll get 1- to 1.5 * of KR---AND it really woke the car up !! Visual inspection of the plugs show no signs of pinging or aluminum flaking--
