No personal useage experience on those particular plugs. Most forum members seem to Use/recommend either the AC Delco Iridiums, or NGK, copper if want maximum performance and don't mind changing plugs every 10,000 to 15,000, miles, or the NGK Iridium plugs, which is what I installed.

FWIW I run AC Iridiums w/GM Perf wires. I researched SP threads (there's a ton of them) for a week or so before I changed mine out. Bottom line - SP's are like CAI's; many opinions, no clear cut best of breed.

Hi topless99 -

I have the "regular" platinum plus 4's in my wifes 99 coupe - just put them in a month ago.

So far so good - there is another thread active regarding plugs and when to change etc.

best regards -

Your NOT going to go wrong with any of the special rare metal spark plugs.

GM went to them as the OEM spark plug because they flat work well and allow the engine to MAINTAIN sat emissions during the required 80,000 mile power train emissions requirement.

IMHO,,,,A spark plug is a spark plug. NONE of them are going to magicly make more HP! Thats all HYPE!
The rare metal plugs just last longer than the regular or copper plugs. I honestestly don't think your will ever see a notable difference between one NEW spark-plug and another NEW spark plug. ( It just how long the plug will last under NORMAL driving and engine conditions.)

With that said,, I have another statement that might help you determine what plug is best for your applications:

I have run the stock AC Delco Iridium ZO6 factory plugs in my 02 ZO6 since it was new. Never had a problem with them. The factory installed plugs were changed out at 27,000 miles because a couple got cracked during header install. At 27k the OEM plugs looked good and I could have probably just replaced the damaged ones but my header installer offered new ones FREE. Couldnt pass that offer up.

So, the car now has 55,500 miles on the clock and after my header install, VARARAM, and tune and driving the car like it was meant to be driven, I noticed that the stock AC Delco Iridium plugs that were just removed during my MOD install were well worn. Thats only 28,500.
The iridium center electrodes were well worn and the gap was .085"+ (with that gap,,they were still working fine )

So, with my new MODS (heads/cam/FAST 90/90 TB) install I'm switching to TR-55's and will be checking then at 10,000 mile intervals to see how there wearing. Ive been told that these plugs work better in a MODDED ENGINE but will need to be changed more often.

Thats my 3 cents on plugs.
