Default pull key wait 10 secs. ????? PLEASE READ ME

well the b.s. column lock thing is happening
I have read every post and done everything I think I can do.
pulled fuses, reset key fob, new battery, run through the codes and reset everything, then pull fuses, wait, then start and same thing.

the column has had the recall work done, it does not lock, the problem is I let the car sit for about 2 weeks the battery was low I guess but it started right up, then boom there was the light pull key and wait,
Like I said I have read every post and done what they say, with no fix, what do I do I cant even get it to a dealership cause it wont move 2 feet.

I was thinking of having hp tuner guy turn the fuel shut off form 2 mph to 200 mph would that fix it? is there anything else I can do to fix it now?

buy a CLB....

if you had read every post you would know this by now.

after being a member here for 2 years you should have known that the GM fix does NOT work.

sorry....not being an *** its just a fact.

Good luck.

PM this guy http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...47&postcount=8

he has one on hand...probably save you a few $$

FWIW I unlocked a locked one despite what people say before I installed it...you can use the adaptor to unlock a locked column.

When first got my car, I had the dreaded clb issue. I had the car towed to the dealership to get it back on the road. The car still has that pull key wait 10 secs. message once and a while that I hate. So, I finally oredered my clb bypass today.

I have the clb bypass (just installed) and still get the pull key wait 10 sec. So I just pull key and wait..... then boogie down the road.

I never got the message before the clb install. My wheel don't lock.

I think I'm too quick to the draw when statring the car, but not real sure.

well I ordered the clb today from corvettes of houston, it will be here in a few days, hopefully this will work. I called them first and asked them if I should send it to gm or just order the bypass they said order the bypass,, so that is what I have done. since I cant even move the car this should be easier than having it towed and spending who knows how much at GM.
hopefully this fixes it on the spot or I am gonna be ticked? will keep you all informed.

I just want to drive my darn car. We will see what happens. This is by far the worst thing about owning a corvette, is some b.s. little thing like this that completly puts the car down.

This EXACT same thing happend to me when the battery died shortly aftter having the bypass installed under recall. I have AAA so they flatbedded it to the dealer (free of charge) and the dealer was told by GM to remove the K-Harness that they installed under the recall. No problems since.

I had this happen about 5 or 6 times to me. Few times at the GTO vs Vette event at atco raceway that sucked!!! And a few times in general just trying to leave a parking lot or at a cruise in... It sucks real bad and is embarassing because everybody thinks I keep stalling it lol.
O well. I will have my HP tuners tomorrow I'll let you know if theres anything that it can do for it... I will be looking!

I know for fact with hp tuners, you can go into the fuel management and turn the fuel shut off from 2mph to 200mph and then it does not matter it will never shut your fuel down.

This is a good solution if you have someone who can do it. You may still get the message, but you will be able to drive.

I never got the message before the clb install.

Same here - EVERY day - at least once a day (sometimes every time I start the car) I get the Pull key, wait 10 message - even with the CLB bypass.

Talk about annoying as crap!
