Smoother shifting after fluid change

I changed the tranny fluid in my 99 C5 yesterday. To the best of my knowledge, it was the original fluid. The shifting is now much smoother through all the gears. Here's what really going to freak everyone out....I used Dextron transmission fluid. Crazy...huh?

I used Dextron transmission fluid back in the 80's in my car and it works great

That's what the car calls for, isn't it ?? (it is for our 2000).

ALso, its important to NOT use synthetic Dexron until 2001's or 2002's (due to the paper blocking rings in our earlier C5 transmissions).

And gee whiz, 20 years later, GM was still recommending Dextron for the C5. Go figure.
