Default Cam swap info. needed....

I'm getting ready to install a new cam. I was curious if anyone had any suggestions on what to replace while I've got everything apart. Is there anything else that I need before I start besides the obvious cam, valve springs, hardened pushrods?

You might consider an LS2 timing chain. It's quite a bit stronger than the stock LS1.

Consider replacing harmonic balancer / dampener since they're notorious for going bad anyways and you gotta pull it off and reinstall it. Front Seal, water pump and timing cover gaskets and ARP dampener bolt. Make sure you make or buy a balancer/dampener install tool cuz if you try to use the bolt, you got about a 50/50 shot of ruining your crank! That's about it.

Based on the build year of your car, upgrade your oil pump to an LS6 pump. Some of the pre-2000 oil pumps have been known to fail and it will be out anyways, so swap that out. You should also make a tool list, a lot of guys find out once they are into it that they need some tools they don't have, like an adjustable pushrod. Buy pushrods once it is back together and you measure.
