Everything from HARBOR FREIGHT is made offshore...way offshore. Maybe that's not a concern...

It looks pretty cool. My low profile jack work fine, though. I guess if my car was slammed, any more than on stock bolts, I'd want one of those.

I love Harbor Freight, but you do have to worry about some poor quality merchadise.

I bought a pnuematic nailer from Harbor Freight and it never performed as needed. I wouldn't buy anything with moving parts from them. Especially nothing hydraulic that I could loose a limb screwing with.
Just my opinion.

I believe I seen a post here about a forum member invented that jack and sold the rights to HF.

A search could probably find it...

That's an awesome concept, but I would never trust my car or my life with anything from harbor freight.

IMO a jack is something you don't go low quality on, it can wreck your car or kill you.

MANY $$$$$$ of body damage would occur too,if one of the lifting
arms broke or slipped off the tire.

Just use the designated C5 lifting points with a low profile floor jack.

chris308 is correct... a CF member claimed to have invented it to lift his lowered Vette. He built the prototype and licensed it to HF.

Default Jack.....

....90% of the time I lift my car is to get the wheel off. Even if the quality was good, I don't know how many times it would come in handy.

I have had craftsmen jacks before and they seemed to all suck. I have the HF aluminum low profile jack now and it works great. However I use it with my craftsmen jack stands just to be safe lol.

No complaints about my Craftsmen 3 ton. Regardless of the brand of jack, I would use jackstands or ramps for safety.

I have a very low profile jack. I still need to drive my car on ramps, then jack it up.
