ok well my oil pressure sensor flaked out on me after a month with the new one in.. however, while it always reads 130 PSI on the DIC and 80 on the gauge, if i get into the higher RPMs like 4,000 + the gauge flips to the opposite side and reads no pressure and i get a "service vehicle soon" message. then today i gave it the beans through the tunnel and i got the "service vehicle soon" as well as a check gauges and LOW OIL PRESSURE message on the DIC.. but as soon as i put it back in 6th gear all codes reverted to history and all messages dissapeared as well as warning lights all turned out....
does this sound like just a bad sensor??
also, im not hearing any abnormal noise from the engine, even though it would be impossible to hear anything over the cam and valvetrain.
Get the sensor replaced ASAP. If there is ANY chance you are running the engine with zero oil pressure ..... the cost of a new engine is more than the cost of the sensor.
